CIB delivering support to Bucks charities for the future!

31 July 2017

Community Impact Bucks’ positive impact on the charity, voluntary and community sector in Buckinghamshire has been recognised by Bucks County Council in the renewal of our contract until 2019.

Following a rigorous bidding process, CIB has been commissioned to continue providing advice and support to local groups and organisations to help them thrive.  We will continue delivering training to help staff be as effective as possible, support for leadership and governance, funding skills, promotion of volunteering and networking opportunities.

During this process and through engagement with local charities we have reflected on how else we might be able to support the sector and, over the next few months, you’ll see more work on supporting the sector’s leaders and potential leaders, more activity to increase the number of active volunteers in Bucks and, launching early 2018, a new, improved website.

Nick PhillipsNick Phillips, chief executive said, “We are, of course, delighted to have had our contract with Bucks County Council renewed.  This shows their commitment to us and our continuing work to support and develop the local charity, voluntary and community sector.  We are looking forward to continuing our work with charities, community groups and partners at BCC and the district councils over the coming years.”

CIB’s project work such as Handy Helpers, community transport, pub lunches and community buildings membership, as well as its work as the Rural Community Council is not affected by the new contract and will remain unchanged.
