New job club for Wycombe - starts Monday 13 November

13 November 2017

The Oasis Partnership has partnered with Red Kite Housing to develop a local employment, training, education and volunteering Hub in High Wycombe.

Oasis job club flyerSupported by the Building Futures partners Oasis will be able to develop an effective community service that will help people achieve their goals. They are refurbishing their Baker Street group room, which will become the new community resource, offering a wide range of education, training, employment and volunteering opportunities aiming to engage individuals and local communities.

They are also engaging with local employer networks and business leaders to integrate the new hub into the wider employment agenda.

The aim is to set up different courses and sessions aimed at addressing the differing needs of local communities.  This will include opportunities for improving individuals' health and well-being, such as mindfulness courses alongside improving skills, gaining experience and enhancing employment options.  Having the Tool Shed as a Building Futures partner on site for skills courses and training is a great bonus for the project.

Anyone can access the Job Club on Mondays to get support and find out what else is available during the week.

The partnership Oasis has developed with Red Kite and the evolving Building Futures project enables people to achieve their goals by offering individualised support at the pace set by the individual.
