#VillageHallsWeek

#VillageHallsWeek

Congratulations to everyone who took part in #VillageHallsWeek in January! It was the first one of its kind, and what a fantastic opportunity to showcase the hive of activity in our community buildings and their vital role in bringing our communities together.

ACRE Network member Community Impact Bucks was privileged to host Lord Gardiner of Kimble, who launched #VillageHallsWeek in his home county of Buckinghamshire on Monday 22nd January. The Minister visited 3 village halls – Widmer End, Naphill and Dunsmore Village Halls – and this gave the Minister the opportunity to hear about everything that the halls have to offer, and to thank all of the volunteers involved. We would also like to say a big “thank you” to all of the volunteers who helped to make the visit such a success!

As part of #VillageHallsWeek, Community Impact Bucks also hosted a small briefing event at Dunsmore Village Hall. Facilitated by our Chief Executive, Nick Phillips, representatives from 6 village halls briefed Nick on the successes and challenges that they face. Themes included the importance of volunteers, funding, and planning for the future. It also gave the opportunity for village halls to come together and share their extensive knowledge.

Don’t forget that Community Impact Bucks offers a community buildings service that provides advice and information for your community building.
