Governance

Good Governance: a Code for the Voluntary and Community Sector (the Code) is a code of governance written for voluntary and community organisations.

http://www.governancecode.org/

The Code for smaller organisations contains all the detail but is written from the viewpoint of organisations with a small annual income and no paid staff.

http://www.governancecode.org/code-for-smaller-organisations/

The summary Code is a quick ‘pocket guide’ to the six Code principles. It doesn’t contain the detail of the full Code, but you may find it useful if you just want a quick introduction and overview or summary of the Code.

http://www.governancecode.org/summary-code-of-governance/

The Code Toolkit  can help you check how well your Board is performing from time to time by working through the Code, section by section and deciding where your organisation is

a) doing well, b) just about OK or c) needs improvement in that area.
