Life for some people is not as good as it should be. I have the pleasure and honour to lead a dedicated professional team helping organisations and communities improve the lives of others.
Part of our Senior Management Team, Diane oversees (and delivers!) our support for charities and volunteers across Buckinghamshire. She is a conference speaker and facilitator. She also provides consultancy to charities, social enterprises and the public sector.
Helen’s role is to help charities and community groups get the support they need. Whether just starting or already operating she can help point you in the right direction especially in relation to funding and governance, as well as signposting to other sources of help.
Hazel advises and trains charities and community groups that involve volunteers, and promotes volunteering throughout the county. She manages the national partnerships with Reach Volunteering and Do-it, and is on the Events’ Committee of the Association of Volunteer Managers.
Debi heads up the team that provides support direct to communities to help them set up community schemes and projects. Her team also delivers support and services directly to vulnerable and socially isolated residents of Buckinghamshire. To find out more about what we currently do give Debi a call.
Stephanie leads on the Community Organising project in East Wycombe and community buildings advice and information service. Stephanie works with community leaders and groups to help drive change. Helen supports volunteer groups to set up Community Transport schemes including volunteer car drivers and community minibuses. Working with communities to develop Community Led Plans or Neighbourhood Plans, Helen helps them decide which is the most suitable plan, and how to get everyone locally participating.
Samantha manages a number of our direct delivery services which support vulnerable and socially isolated Buckinghamshire residents. She is responsible for our Gardening and Befriending Service, pilot Handy Helper service and consumer advice on energy savings.
Amber is our gardening expert and leads our team of supported volunteer gardeners delivering our Gardening and Befriending Service. With the team, she visits our clients to undertake garden clearances and maintenance.
In this county-wide role Llew researches and establishes new lunch club venues and supports existing ones throughout Bucks. He negotiates the lunch deal, recruits organisers for each venue and promotes the launch of new lunch clubs in the local community.
Rachel looks after external communications including our newsletter, social media, website and marketing.
Jenny is your first point of contact for all our training and events and manages liaising with venues and delegates to make sure they all run smoothly. Jenny also looks after our data and reporting.
Anne is part of the team providing business support to CIB, focussing mainly on finance and HR, and is often the first point of contact for enquiries. Anne also responds to calls to the Community Transport Hub.
Mimi has been CIB chair since 2017. She has been a district councillor for 12 years and was awarded an OBE for her work for women and her local community. She currently serves on the Chiltern District Council Cabinet and is involved in a wide range of voluntary roles.
Tara joined CIB as a trustee at the end of 2013 and, after a stint as chair, is now vice chair. She is a senior director for Ipsos MORI’s brand, communications and advertising specialism, Ipsos Connect and uses her company’s volunteering days to work with us.
Nigel is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW), retired from a long career with Compass Group PLC. He continues to act as chair of trustees of a Compass pension scheme and is a trustee of local village organisations.
Richard has served as one of our trustees since August 2016. He works in sales, marketing and general management in the technology sector and has had an international career with directorships in both the UK and Australia, as well as working extensively in the United States.
After a long career as a senior manager in the voluntary sector, notably the National Trust, Jenny retired as chief executive of Brain Tumour UK. She currently chairs the Board at Healthwatch Bucks and recently completed her four year term on Healthwatch England’s national committee. She was awarded an OBE in 2005 for her services to voluntary action in the heritage and environmental sectors.
As a trustee, Cora brings with her many years of experience of working and volunteering in the charity sector, including with the Citizens Advice Bureau and various housing and community projects. She was CIB’s chief executive from 2010 until she retired in 2014.
Lesley has been a trustee with CIB since 2017. She is an experienced People Director with a track record of achieving results at Board level in both a business and not-for-profit capacity.
Carol is a pharmacist by training and now works as a freelance regulatory consultant. As well as her role as trustee, she is a CIB ambassador for the Marlow area and is a volunteer for Macmillan Cancer Research.
Our ambassadors represent Community Impact Bucks in their local communities. They help charities and community groups by making sure they know of and can access our support, by raising the profile of volunteering and by being a first point of contact for local organisations.
