01. What we do

Our mission is to enable and develop
strong and vibrant communities throughout Buckinghamshire

We are the local experts for the charity and voluntary sector in Buckinghamshire, helping to build strong communities through our work with not-for-profit organisations, volunteers, and directly within communities throughout the county.

As a small local charity ourselves, we know the challenges being faced by not-for-profit organisations in the county. We also understand the difficulties faced by many in our communities. This unique insight means we can give tailored, relevant advice to groups and individuals involved in community action in Buckinghamshire.

As the local hub for community action in Buckinghamshire, we:

Advise local charities and voluntary groups on all aspects of running their organisation, offering tailored support, guidance and training

Help people find volunteering roles that match their preferences including location, type of role, interests, and time commitment

Provide essential services within the community which help people to stay connected and live independently

Build partnerships with key organisations and networks within Buckinghamshire and Thames Valley to facilitate cross-sector work on important issues such as healthcare and rural housing.

02. Our impact

We directly help hundreds of organisations and individuals each year, enabling them to support their local community through volunteer work or delivering essential services. By doing this, we indirectly support a wide range of causes and many thousands of people across the county.

Key highlights to our work during 2023/2024 include:

In summary, the Community Impact Bucks team:
