01. What is the Local Voluntary Sector Network?
The Local Voluntary Sector Network provides an informal space for Bucks-based charities, voluntary and community groups, and social enterprises to share ideas, information and resources.
Facilitated by Community Impact Bucks, the focus and topics of the sessions are driven by the attendees so that local priorities are discussed. The network provides a great opportunity for organisations to meet and find ways to work together to maximise impact within the community.
The network meets in various locations across the county – both in person and online.
02. Who is the Network for?
The Local Voluntary Sector Network is for charities, voluntary and community groups, and social enterprises which are based in and/or provide services in Buckinghamshire. Organisations which support or work with local Buckinghamshire not-for-profit organisations are also welcome to join to make new connections.
Both new and established organisations, of all sizes, are welcome and we encourage all groups to participate, to share their experiences with others. Organisations are welcome to attend multiple forums if they work across the county.
03. Focus of forums
Discussion is led by attendees so the issues that really matter to the local community are prioritised. Past topics have included:
- Ways to engage with young people
- Funding support
- Collaboration opportunities
- Recruiting volunteers
- Using social media to increase engagement
- How to manage and prioritise workloads
