01. About the service
The Handy Helpers service provides a range of internal and external maintenance to eligible people who are 65+ years old, or below 65 years old and living with a disability.
By carrying out simple maintenance tasks, we can minimise the risks and hazards in and around the home, and at the same time help to alleviate the stress associated with the inability to deal with household tasks or repairs.
The service is free or on a donation basis, based on an assessment carried out by our Handy Helper team leader. Due to high demand for the service, we offer support on a one-off basis only.
