01. About the Community Transport Hub
The Community Transport Hub is available to Buckinghamshire’s residents who are struggling to get to appointments – both medical and social – and need alternative transport options to public or private transport.
The Hub provides information on community transport providers in Buckinghamshire and the surrounding area, from Dial-a-Ride to community car schemes, minibus hire to wheelchair accessible taxis.
Our team cannot make or take the bookings, but we can provide details on the most appropriate method of transport to meet your needs.
02. Who can use the Community Transport Hub
If you, or someone you know, is unable to access other means of transport, such as public transport, for whatever reason, please contact the Community Transport Hub.
Many of the calls we receive are for transport to and from medical or health appointments, but we also provide information on transport options for social trips, day centres, and other activities.
In FY 23/24, 77% of calls were for transport to health and medical appointments
In 2023, we helped over 200 Bucks residents find community transport – including young people, older members of our communities, carers, or family members.

04. Data Privacy Notice
We record information about calls to the Transport Hub. This is so we can monitor the reasons why callers need community transport and where they need to go, because some Community Transport Schemes only offer support with certain types of journeys and to or from certain places. Personal information is removed from the call data we collect.
When processing personal information, we are acting as the ‘data controller’ and hold information under legitimate interest. As the Hub is funded, we provide anonymised information for reporting and monitoring purposes to funders and commissioners.
05. Community transport schemes and volunteers
