Volunteers’ Week 2018

Volunteers’ Week is a great opportunity for you to be part of the national campaign to thank your volunteers and celebrate the massive difference they make.

Last year over 175,000 people volunteered in Buckinghamshire alone, delivering an estimated unpaid contribution of £225m per year to the UK economy: their help is truly invaluable and critical to the success of many projects in our communities.

What have you got planned?

From big community events to simple thank you cards, there is something for everyone.  If you need inspiration on how you can make your Volunteers’ Week a success, take a look at the NCVO’s information for organisations and their resource pack which is full of helpful ideas and tips.

Tell us what you’re doing

Whatever it is you plan to do, don’t forget to tell us about it by contacting rachel@communityimpactbucks.org.uk.  We can promote your event on our website, Facebook and Twitter and it’s a great chance to really shout about the work you and your volunteers do.

Have you got a good story to tell?

During Volunteers’ Week we’ll be celebrating the huge difference that volunteers make to people’s lives by featuring a new personal story every day via our website, Twitter and Facebook.  Can you help us? Get in touch with  rachel@communityimpactbucks.org.uk

How can we help you?

Don’t forget all our resources to help you with your volunteer selection and recruitment.  We’re also running a ‘Attracting and Keeping Volunteers’ training session on 16th August in South Bucks and Finding & Supporting Volunteers’ advice session on 20th June in High Wycombe which is the ideal opportunity for a 1-1, free of charge, 45-minute session with one of our volunteering experts.   For more information on our training and events, visit our training and events page.

Good luck with your Volunteers’ Week!
