Winslow Activity Club
Community Impact Bucks have supported Winslow Activity Club with a variety of help over the past few years and has become their ‘go-to’ source of help and advice.
Winslow Activity Club is a charity offering activities for adults with physical / learning disabilities and autism, including massage, music, art and sensory projects one morning a week, in a relaxed and caring environment.
They have taken advantage of the services provided by Community Impact Bucks on a variety of occasions over the past few years including training courses, advice surgeries and tailored support through New Futures Bucks.
This has resulted in them:
- Finding a contact to provide them with a new website and Facebook profile free of charge
- Successfully approaching FareShare to supply refreshments for their activity sessions
- Developing a Trustee Handbook and relevant policies and procedures to ensure robust governance and make sure they are ready to recruit new trustees
- Developing a volunteer strategy to recruit and retain more volunteers to help with activity sessions
