Introduction to Bite-size Volunteering – online Zoom event – 2:00-3:00pm

One of the biggest barriers to volunteering is finding time to participate. Bite-size or micro-volunteering offers opportunities to undertake task specific and time limited activities, often from home, or online. As well as providing potential volunteers with the opportunity to support a chosen cause, it can also be an excellent way for organisations to broaden their volunteering offer.

If your organisation is thinking of new ways to attract new volunteers with the easing of lockdown restrictions, join one of our Bite-size Volunteering sessions being held during Volunteers’ Week.

What you will take away from the session

To help you take the next steps in developing bite-size volunteering roles for your organisations, we will:

  • Hear from a guest speaker about his experience of bite-size volunteering and how he became involved
  • Explore how to develop bite-size roles
  • Look at why bite-size volunteering should be considered
  • Discuss the key benefits of bite-size volunteering
  • Identify roles that could be offered as bite-size opportunities
  • Signpost to useful resources.

Who should attend?

Anyone (paid/unpaid) involved with recruiting/managing volunteers for charities, community groups or social enterprises that deliver services in Buckinghamshire.  Please note this event is only for organisations where beneficiaries are in Buckinghamshire.

There are four opportunities to join the free online training: join us on via Zoom on 1st June or 3rd June at either 10.30am and 2.00pm.
