Local Voluntary Sector Network Forum – North Buckinghamshire

If you are involved in the voluntary sector in North Buckinghamshire and would like the opportunity to share information – including insights into the cost-of-living crisis – and collaborate with other groups in the area, join the next Local Voluntary Sector Network forum for North Buckinghamshire on 22nd November (6.30-8.30pm).

Open to Bucks-based charities, voluntary & community groups, and social enterprises, the Local Voluntary Sector Network forum provides an informal space where attendees can discuss local needs and explore opportunities for change in their communities.

Facilitated by Community Impact Bucks, the focus and topics are driven by local groups based on the priorities of their communities.

What will be discussed?

Building on the second Local Voluntary Sector Network forum for North Buckinghamshire in July 2022, the forum agenda is flexible to allow discussion to focus on the key issues highlighted by previous forums and current attendees. These include:

  • What measures not-for-profit groups can take to address rising costs, and the support available to them
  • How to make a case for funding
  • How Buckinghamshire Council supports organisations
  • Ways that charities can engage with local businesses
  • Projects which require funding in the Haddenham area
  • How to recruit more volunteers
  • Advice on raising the profile of organisations, particularly through social media

What networking opportunities are there?

As well as meeting virtually in the forum, we would like to share contact details between attendees so that organisations can follow up with each other for networking, support, and collaboration. If you are happy to share your details, please complete the relevant sections of the registration form.

Who should attend?

There are two Local Voluntary Sector Networks available to join: North and South Buckinghamshire that cover Buckinghamshire Council’s North Community Board and South Community Board localities respectively.

The Local Voluntary Sector Forum for North Buckinghamshire is open to all individuals and groups involved with Bucks-based charities, voluntary community groups and social enterprises that are based and/or provide services in Community Board areas of:

  • Aylesbury
  • Buckingham & villages
  • Winslow & villages
  • Wing & Ivinghoe
  • Haddenham & Waddesdon
  • Missendens
  • Wendover
  • Chesham & villages

Organisations are welcome to participate in both North and South Networks if they are working across a wider area in the county. Both new and established organisations, of all sizes, are welcome and we encourage all groups to participate, to share their experiences with others.

To find out more about Community Boards and the geographic area they cover, visit the Buckinghamshire Council website.

Details for and how to book on to the Local Voluntary Sector Network forum for South Buckinghamshire on 24nd November can be found here .
