Local Voluntary Sector Network Meeting: how to manage workloads in your voluntary organisation

Do you get involved in every aspect of your voluntary organisation and have a long ‘to do’ list with limited time to do it? Do you find it hard to prioritise tasks – many of which are urgent or important?

We understand the demands of time and resources placed on individuals running and supporting voluntary organisations and have invited charity adviser Warren Koehler to lead on an interactive discussion at the next Local Voluntary Sector Network meeting on 7th September (6.30-8pm)

About the event

The Local Voluntary Sector Network meeting is an online event taking place on Zoom.

At the informal event, you will have the opportunity to find out about a range of tactics you can implement to manage and prioritise your workload within your voluntary organisation, particularly with limited resources.

Charity adviser Warren Koehler will also be discussing on the importance of developing a clear vision and strategy for your organisation, helping to ensure its sustainability and future.

In addition to this, there will be time to reflect on some of the key organisational issues that you face. Some of the issues highlighted at previous Local Voluntary Sector Network meetings include:

  • Local funding opportunities available
  • How to recruit more volunteers
  • Advice on raising the profile of organisations, particularly through social media

Guest Speaker: Discussions will be led by Warren Koehler, an experienced charity adviser who advises not-for-profit organisations on a variety of topics including governance and how groups can collaborate to support their communities. Warren has many years of experience working with the voluntary sector and currently advises charities in Buckinghamshire through Community Impact Bucks’ Mentoring for Success Scheme.

Who should attend?

Individuals and groups involved with Bucks-based charities, voluntary and community groups and social enterprises that are based and/or provide services in Buckinghamshire.

Both new and established organisations, of all sizes, are welcome and we encourage all groups to share their experiences with others. Organisations working across a wider area in the county are also welcome to participate.

About the Local Voluntary Sector Networks

Local Voluntary Sector Network forums were set up in 2022 to enable Bucks-based charities, voluntary and community groups, and social enterprises to share information and collaborate on the local issues that matter most.

If you are involved in the voluntary sector in Buckinghamshire, this informal space is open to discuss local needs and explore opportunities for change in their communities.

The Networks are facilitated by Community Impact Bucks, but the focus and topics are driven by the local groups based on the priorities of their communities.
