Meet the Funder – The Shanly Foundation – Online Zoom Event
The Shanly Foundation helps local causes that improve the wellbeing and quality of life for disadvantaged community members. Support is given to individuals and organisations including local events, scouting and guiding organisations, schools, and sports and social clubs.
If your organisation is looking to apply for funding with the Shanly Foundation and serves Buckinghamshire, join us for our next FREE Meet the Funder event on 27th September (12pm – 1pm) where you will hear about the Foundation’s grants, find out what makes a good grant application, and have the opportunity to meet your local Shanly Foundation funding officer.
What you will take away from this event
We will be joined by Clare Junak, Awards Officer for the Shanly Foundation, who will give an overview of the Foundation’s funding opportunities as well as some key hints and tips about how you can make the most of your application.
By the end of the session, you will have a greater understanding of what it is like to work with a national funder, in this case the Shanly Foundation, and have an insight into how national funders are looking to support smaller local charities and not-for-profit organisations.
About Shanly Foundation Grants
The Shanly Foundation Grants are open throughout the year for funding applications from constituted groups, registered charities, CIOs and CICs. Please refer to its site for more detailed information about its grants, and check that your organisation is located within its target area via its map.
Previous support has helped causes including disadvantaged youth, the homeless, individuals with mental health issues, and those with physical disabilities or life-limiting illnesses.
Next steps
If your organisation serves Buckinghamshire and you would like to join this Meet the Funder session, please read the information about the Shanly Foundation’s eligibility criteria before booking your place. Please note places are limited to 25 and that priority will be given to charities and not-for-profit organisations which have not previously been successful with the Shanly Foundation.
