Community Prevention Grant 2020-21 funding workshop: Aston Clinton

The Community Prevention Grant 2020-21, funded by Buckinghamshire County Council, provides funding for projects that create sustainable solutions for residents living in Buckinghamshire.

To support organisations that are new to, or have limited experience of, applying for grant funding, the Council is running three workshops at the end of September 2019 with support from Community Impact Bucks.

About the Community Prevention Grant

The Council is looking to fund projects that help people aged 18 years + and provide the following:

·         Support to people living independently in their own homes

·         Access to information and advice about the services available to them.

To be eligible for the funding, projects will need to meet with the Council’s priorities within the Better Lives Strategy 2018-2021 and Market Position Statement 2018-2022: Prevention, Early Help and supporting people at a community level.

The Community Prevention Grant Fund is aimed at organisations from the voluntary, charity, faith and community sectors. It will be open from 14th October until 15th November; applicants will be notified of the decision in early 2020.

What you will get out of the workshops

Attendees will learn about:

  • how the funding fits in with the Council’s priorities
  • how to complete and submit the application form to meet required standards
  • monitoring requirements for successful applicants.

Who should attend?

Senior members of your organisations would be best placed to make the most of this event, for example, the individual who will be writing the application and a member of the board.

This workshop will be particularly suitable for individuals who have limited experience of applying for grant funding.
