Fundraising Mentoring

Trusts and Foundations Mentoring Logo

We know that fundraising for a small charity can sometimes be a lonely and frustrating place. To support you in this crucial activity, we have introduced the Trust Fundraising mentoring programme.

With freelance fundraising consultant Jennie Gillions as your mentor, you will receive one-to-one expert advice as you research, write, and prepare applications for funding.

Over a duration of 3 months, Jennie will support you as you look for funders, build compelling projects for funding, and create clear and concise information to include in your applications.

The sessions will be tailored to your needs and can cover anything from brainstorming project ideas, to how to research funders and how to make the most of the application itself.

How is the training structured?

Each month you will be invited to attend a group session with other cohort members.

You can then decide how the rest of your support is delivered – this could be via email or telephone support, or a mixture of both.

With one group session and one hour dedicated 1:2:1 support each month; you and Jennie will agree on a training schedule tailored to you at the beginning of the mentoring programme.  For example, it might be one hour phone call per month, or it could be 4 emails of 15 minutes each.

Places are limited to two individuals per cohort, with each cohort lasting three months.
