To Be a Trustee: Trustees’ Week (12 – 16 November)

With over 1 million Trustees in the UK, Trustees’ Week is a national celebration of the valuable work carried out by Trustees throughout Buckinghamshire. Community Impact Bucks are not only joining in the celebrations, we are encouraging business people to step forward and volunteer in a Trustee capacity.

Trusteeship is a unique form of volunteering. It’s not only a valuable way of contributing to your local community, it can be a rewarding experience for individuals, helping them to broaden their interests and develop their leadership skills.

Trustees come from all walks of life; it doesn’t matter about your background. You might be looking for some managerial experience to propel your career, to expand a certain skill set or simply want to give your time to a cause you are passionate about – no matter how old or young you are.

Trustee roles offer a great deal of flexibility around your existing commitments. Community Impact Bucks have partnered with Reach Volunteering, the national organisation that connects charities and not-for-profits with skilled and experienced volunteers, to bring you a live stream of the latest trustee roles in Buckinghamshire.

Don’t just take our word for it, hear from:
Neil, Management Consultant and Trustee at CPRE Bucks
Lesley Davies, People Director and Trustee at Community Impact Bucks
Rosalind Parke, Senior Executive and Trustee at Bucks Mind
Tori, Director of Marketing & Admissions and Vice-Chair of Bucks Mind
Alex Swallow – ‘Five Reasons You Should be a Young Trustee’
Jade Clarke, Teenage Trustee at Aylesbury Youth Action
